Nettie Locke Rogers

Creating art and working with animals have always been my true loves in life.

Both have taught me patience, respect, and how to be present in the moment.

Whether animals appear in my work or not, they are the reason I am able to create.
They are my muse.

Growing up within a family of artists, I was encouraged to explore many different mediums. My focus during art school and graduate school was ceramics, although painting and drawing have remained equally important to me over the years.

I happily live in Maine with my dog Brownie, my ferret, Alma and lovingly surrounded by all the horses in my life.
